Like waves, each one different
One rolling with a smooth, even flow
Another builds and moves with speeds out of control
There, that one
Don’t see it? Bam, knocks you down flat!
And the rip, roaring curl
Long, steady, determined.
Each, a special wave
Carrying her own uniqueness.
I am the beach
Vastness of sand
Showing lines from where the waves have come and gone
Indentations that weave in predetermined patterns
I sit and wait
Each in their own time
Then, they are gone again
A part of a vastness so great and frightening
I dare not contemplate its depths
Bottle them up for safekeeping?
The thought crosses my shores
But the momentum of the waves,
Cannot be contained.
